HELLO THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED to be starting FRESH and NEW today, along with four other fantastic people :)
Me, Erna, Laurie, Venessa, and Tara have all decided to enter the IsaBody Challenge beginning today, February 15th. This means we have exactly four months to reach our goal. We'd all like to lose 50 or more pounds :)
It's wonderful to have a group of people all working towards the same or similar goals. I am beyond ecstatic about this.
WELCOME to my blog, everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was good about updating it for a while, but once Christmas came and went...I didn't keep up with it. I'm BACK!
I will be posting here everyday what I ate for the day. Journaling is a fantastic tool to help us realize what we put in our mouths in one day. Sometimes I will eat a bit here and a thing or two there, and at the end of the day I never realized how much I really ate.
It would be great if you would like to post your daily food as a note to my post as well. Whatever works for you :) That way we can all see who is eating what and make suggestions if someone is having a harder time losing weight than another.
I really look forward to this most amazing journey! I did it last time on my own, but it will be much easier and more fun this time around!
For those that don't know me well, you can read part of my story at the top of this page. I had a beautiful baby girl in June. I decided that when I stopped breast feeding I would go hardcore with the weightloss again. (I had taken almost all of the Isagenix products during my pregnancy as well as while I was breastfeeding, but couldn't do full cleanse days). I got Vienna on formula November 11th, and started cleansing again. For some reason, though, I kept on sabotaging myself. I couldn't figure out why I was doing that to myself.
I sat down and got quiet 2.5 weeks ago and realized exactly why I have been sabotaging myself since November.
It was because I always regretted not getting a body composition test and blood tests before losing all that weight in 2008 (how was I supposed to know that Isagenix actually works?!?!?! hahaa).
Once I got clear and knew exactly why I was holding myself back and sabotaging, I got on the phone right away and set up an appointment at the University of Alberta to get a full body composition done (sit in a chair and they dunk you underwater to find out exactly how much of the body is fat, muscle, and water). I also booked my doctor's appointment to get blood tests.
My body composition appointment was last week (mom came with me and is doing this challenge and the tests too!), but they were having computer problems and we couldn't test. Alex called me on Friday and told me that they're ordering in the part that they need to get up and running again. He will call me as soon as the equipment is fixed and we'll go in for that body composition test. I set my blood work appointment for this coming Friday. I am VERY excited!
I will go back in one month and get re-tested. I can't WAIT to see the faces of the two students and Alex next month. They're going to think their machine is busted again! hahahhaa
So, yeah, today the group is starting FRESH. We're all so excited. The energy is amazing.
I took my weight and body measurements today. Eeek! That was a great motivation in itself to get my butt in gear. However, I'm not going to get hooked up on what I saw. I am going to focus my energy on imagining how I will look and feel when I get down to my goal weight.
I picture myself wearing my goal hoodie at 155 lbs with a cute jean skirt again (I'm 5 foot 9).
I imagine myself walking down Whyte all proud and confident with who I am, excited to be meeeeeeeeeeee again! My true self! I imagine it being a warm, breezy day and my hair blowing with the wind. I have Vienna on my hip (I actually HAVE A CURVE! hahaha) very comfortably and Yanik walking alongside me as well.
After a beautiful morning walk with my family on Whyte, I see us going to the pool to take Vienna swimming. And I can see myself feeling confident and not wearing any kind of coverup as I have in the past, whether it's short and/or a tank top. WHEEEE!!!!!!!!!!
How do you picture yourself at your ideal weight? What are the kind of things you will be doing and not holding back on anymore once you've achieved your physical health back? Do you have an ultimate goal outfit? If not, go purchase something and hang it somewhere where you see it often.
I look forward to this amazing journey with those that are signed up for the IsaBody Challenge along with me, and also with those that are tuning in to support me :)
Thank you, everyone!
I'll be posting a second message tonight with what I've eaten today.
Cheers!
